Molly Sorkin
Founder and Chief Curator
Molly Sorkin is a curator, archivist and fashion historian with over 30 years combined experience in the fashion and museum worlds, where she maintains strong relationships in both realms. In 2024 she established Exhibit M utilizing her extensive background in building museum exhibitions from the ground up, and collaborating with creative teams on all aspects of exhibition development. Sorkin’s archival and collection management work encompasses collections in the private, corporate, and museum realms.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in the History of Art, Sorkin worked for fifteen years in both the design and production sides of the fashion industry. She attended the master’s program in Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Since 2005, Sorkin has worked on numerous projects with Hamish Bowles—Vogue’s Global Editor at Large and the Creative Director at Large at World of Interiors— including as an archivist and collection manager of his world-renowned couture collection.
